About

Amanda is a fourth year grad student in the Brain and Cognitive Sciences department at the University of Rochester. She is in three labs: studying the development of pragmatic knowledge in the Kinder Lab, how people learn about speakers and the world from what they’ve said in the KurTan Lab, and how these processes resemble adaptation with the HLP Lab. She also runs a biweekly meeting of undergraduate students in these labs, is a Teaching Assistant for Intro to Cog Sci, and mentors several undegrads interested in internships and graduate school. This blog is intended to be an archive of postings in the Cognitive and Language Development fields for undergraduates interested in pursuing careers in research.
