Research Assistant at Northeastern University

The Communication Development Lab (https://www.northeastern.edu/cdl/), directed by Dr. David J. Lewkowicz, in the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders at Northeastern University in Boston, is seeking a full-time research assistant to start as soon as possible. This is a benefits-earning position that requires a minimum 1-year commitment. The research assistant’s duties include recruitment and scheduling of infants and young children, testing, coding, database maintenance, supervision of student research assistants, and some administrative responsibilities.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in psychology, cognitive science, or related field, experience working in a research lab (preferably with infants and/or young children), and computer, statistical, and strong managerial skills. In addition, the successful candidate will be highly attentive to details, have excellent interpersonal skills, be capable of working independently as well as with others in a complex, demanding, and exciting, research environment, and enjoy interacting with children and their parents.
